The Croatian Disaster

It has yachts that light up when the stars do. It has neighbors who call to each other through their windows while they hang out the laundry. It has children selling their mother’s homemade jam.

It does not have much to do, it has no internet, it forces you to let the hot stones warm your feet as the icy cold water rolls over your toes. It forces you to watch the little fish swim up curiously to you, not allowing you to have obligations or to-do lists.

As it turned out, Vis was paradise after all. It was simply in a different form than I expected.
